Yes, you can definitely apply for a child for whom you have custody. In fact, the applicant may be eligible for additional benefits if they were under 18 in any of the last 10 years.

The amount you are eligible for depends on the following factors:
- Age
- Year Condition Began
- Province of Residence
- Taxable Income (Based On Both You and Any Supporting Family Members)
- Any Previous Bankruptcies on File

The process generally takes 3-6 months. However, this could be shorter or longer based on your previous eligibility and amount of time taken by your medical practitioner.

Yes, as long as they were alive in the past 10 years and we receive paperwork from the executor of their estate, we can still apply retroactively for these credits.
